Terms of Use

1. Introduction

These terms govern the use of the mobile app Rise: Build Your System (the “app”) and the Rise Pro subscription between you and the operator:

By signing up and using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The processing of personal data is covered by the separate Privacy Policy. For purchases through the App Store, Apple’s terms (Apple Media Services Terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement) apply in addition to these terms. The Slovak version is authoritative.

2. What the app is

Rise is a personal growth system: habits, tasks, goals (OKRs), journal, mood and wellbeing, focus, meditation, books, saved links, challenges, the law of the day and an AI coach. The app is inspired by *Atomic Habits* (James Clear) and *The 48 Laws of Power* (Robert Greene); it is not officially affiliated with their authors or publishers.

The app stores data in your account, so it needs an internet connection to work. Features may change with new versions.

3. Account

  • The app may be used by people aged 16 and over; you confirm your age at sign-up.
  • Provide a real e-mail address, keep your password safe and tell us about any misuse of your account.
  • One person, one account; accounts are not transferable.

4. Free version and Rise Pro

The free version includes the core features — tasks, habits and focus without limits, plus other features the app marks as free. It requires no payment or card.

Rise Pro unlocks extended features, in particular the AI coach and other AI features, the full law of the day content and guided visualisation. It is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription or as a one-time purchase that does not renew. The current price including VAT and any free trial is always shown in the app and the App Store before you confirm the purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase or, if a free trial was offered, when the trial ends.
  • Renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the next period at the current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
  • Cancellation: on iPhone go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Rise Pro access continues until the end of the paid period. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled solely by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com under its rules; we have no access to payments. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
  • AI features have daily and monthly message limits so the service stays available to everyone; the limits are shown in the app.
  • Apple will notify you of a price change in advance; if you do not agree with an increase, you can cancel.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers): for digital content and services supplied immediately after purchase, you agree to performance starting before the 14-day withdrawal period ends; where the law allows, the right of withdrawal is thereby lost. Refund requests are assessed by Apple. Exporting your data and your other GDPR rights are always free and do not depend on a subscription.

5. AI coach — important notice

The AI coach and other AI features use the Claude model by Anthropic and work only with your consent. Answers are generated by artificial intelligence — they may be inaccurate or incomplete and are for information only.

The AI coach is not a psychologist, therapist, psychiatrist or doctor and does not replace professional help. Rise is not a medical device. If you are struggling with your mental health, please contact a professional; if a life is at risk, call 112.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the app for unlawful purposes, try to access other accounts or systems, overload the servers, scrape data automatically, share your login details or misuse the AI to create unlawful or harmful content.

7. Content and intellectual property

Everything you create in the app (habits, tasks, entries, notes) belongs to you. We use it only to provide the service in line with the Privacy Policy.

The app, its design, code, texts, graphics and the Rise name belong to Vassweb s. r. o. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer the app unless the law expressly permits it.

8. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the app running at all times but cannot guarantee 100% availability — it may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or faults. We will announce the end of the service at least 60 days in advance.

We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI answers or for damage caused by your breach of these terms. Where the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Rise Pro in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and does not limit your statutory consumer rights, including rights in case of defective performance.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account); we erase the data within 30 days at the latest. Cancel the subscription separately in your Apple account settings. We may suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, misuse of the service or a security threat; we will tell you why by e-mail and you can object at vass@vassweb.com.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the app or the law changes. We will notify you of material changes in the app or by e-mail at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can delete your account and cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

11. Complaints, disputes and governing law

Send feedback and complaints about how the app works to vass@vassweb.com; we handle them without undue delay and within 30 days at the latest. Payment complaints are handled by Apple.

These terms are governed by Slovak law; this does not deprive consumers of the protection of mandatory laws of their country of residence. If you are not satisfied with how we handled your complaint, you can turn to an alternative dispute resolution body under Slovak Act No. 391/2015 Coll., for example the Slovak Trade Inspection (Bajkalská 21/A, 827 99 Bratislava 27, soi.sk), which also supervises consumer protection.
